Good Morning to all and we have snow at high altitudes :biggrin_old:

ok my question/s

I have a 2001 summit 800X and on the last trip last season the rod bearing gave up, I have a reman 800 HO long block for her just picked up from Felkers in Loveland. had to pry one of the RAVE valves out of engine but cleaned all parts and wire brushed valves and they slide nice in the new engine, but when I slide the shaft of the vanve into the base housing I have a lot of slop and side to side and rocking between the rave valve and rave valve base so upon searching I found a pair of RAVE valves out of a 2006 summit 800X HO with no miles on them and a huge savings, they use the same valve but the cap is held on with screws which is a plus and they have the vacuum port at the mounting base like my 01 but it also has an external vacuum nipple and the 01 does not have the nipple. can I just cap off the nipple and will the valve operate as it should using the vacuum passage through the base??
