Yes, they were a good machine. Drag raced 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999 440's and the 99 was the best one.

All the other sleds were great. Ran the 1997 for two seasons.

Price is dependant on condition and mileage--you didn't mention those factors.

1997 models had the bad camoplast tracks-they all lost lugs--first thing to check!!

I just picked up a 02 mxzx 440 clutched and pump gas converted for 1000! In good shape. Not mint but not bad. It is super fun. On bowl turns I can swing the rear end around like a mx quad!

Thats a pretty rare sled. S chassis 440,sleds (1998,and 1997) are few and far between. Especially ones in good shape. They are very quick and the rotary motors are arguably the most reliable 440s. They are ready for the trail right from the factory and no conversion needed. Describe the condition or post pix. If mint they command 2k. I scored my 98 for 700. And it was mint.

1350 is best he will do and it has 12,000 miles (19,200 kms). I am okay with the price and miles as would rebuild but it's not as good as pictures show. oh well another with show up.

Post pics please!

That's some serious mileage! But rotary valve motors are reliable. My father has 9000 on his 583 rotary and still on original internals. Only been resealed due to rotary gasket failure.

I'd entertain pix and location as since I got mine a close friend is on the prowl for one as well!

There is a 97 MXZx for sale in my area. Machine is clean but not totally original. Are they worth collecting ? It is number 00031 of the production. A reverse has been installed on it so the magnesium chaincase cover is gone.

Should I buy it ?
