i just baught a bargain,,
1995 skandic WT,723 miles.
i am trying too find some infos about it
all i found is a promo film on youtube.

if i am lucky i whish too find the owner or the shop manual.

it is a 503,sigle carb,,,,look like an Alpine Engine to me,,
same kind of torque at slow speed.

well first thanks for the response.
the 1995 skandic is different from the early 97+ series.
the transmission is different, the suspension desighn, even the engine looks like
an Alpine 503,its torquer than the much more Touring engine in the other years.

an other example the 1 st gear is slower, much strong to pull big weight .

anyway thanks for your link.
i should take some pictures.

Yes, they were torquey, but boy oh so slow...! You have one of the square nose Skandics, run only for one year and with the Valmet transmission. I often wonder about those sleds, I think that they were a truly Lynx last-minute addition to the 1995 Ski-doo line up when they realized that the S2000-based Skandic wasn't quite ready for the 1995 model year. As you can recall, the 1996 Skandic birthed the Yeti Chassis which ran for 8-9 model years before the Yeti II was introduced. The 1995 square-nosed Skandic ran for only one year under the Ski-doo flag.

I can't find a pic right now, even the one from my FAQ thread has disappeared, but they were plenty ugly

Ugly??? I think not!

They did have a funny rear axle though with drive style cogs.

Here ya go!! I could have bought this one for $700 with no motor, but passed, not enough time!

Feel free to use this pic in you faq thread, LB.

Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder . . .
I'll say it looks INTERESTING .

The sled looks like the early 90s Nordik .

Thanks for the pic, I'll put in the FAQ's now! You're right, I shouldn't be so hard on the old girl, it's not that she was so bad but more the fact that her really hot sister showed up on the scene only a year later

well last year i was the owner of a 2002 skandic,i solded it because of personnal reason BUt my son convinced me to buy another skidoo,i found this anvil (enclume) .it is all made of metal compare to mine of last year.
it is narrow, and quite agile compare to the 2002.

today we,me and my son, have been trailing offtrail around here.
we went in some trail that we have been last year and i can confirm that it is 50% much agile then the 2002.
we were trailing around wood, little trail and it went super.
the torquer engine at low speed ,and the tranny, makes a difference too.

yes it is the square nose,on the serial plate it is written
MADE IN FINLAND
