I was think of putting a 1990's Safari chaincase with reverse into my 1978 Everest 440. Is this a simple bolt off and bolt on modification with some minor fabrication work? Theses sleds have the same oil seal/drivetrain bearings in the lower end of the chain case therefore i'm assuming the drive axle is the same diameter for these sleds as well. I would appreciate any and all information.

Not sure, think the axle is a bit longer than your Everest. Check height of chaincase, the Safari one could be longer. Cam has larger diameter,so air filter could be a problem.Your driven wont fit, different shaft size. Top part thickness gonna be really tight too. Pulley guard has to be modified.
