Well just picked up another sled to get running! a complete 77 340 Everest with the old style hood before they got ugly! lol! has not run in a long time but it turns over great so I will tear into it do the seals soak the carb and redo the entire fuel system as well. Then a nice ignition tune up and she should be purring like a kitten! I will get some pics up as soon as II find my camera. The pic is not my sled but it is just like this one only it is not this clean yet!

Some pics of the actual sled. I have all the airbox and shroud parts too I just pulled them to take a look around. Track is really nice it just needs a freshen up couple of parts like a windshield and oddly one front shock? Not leaving the seat that color either! lol!

Great sled. This heavy sled with a 340 engine is surprisingly fast but is prone to overheating. Good project. I rebuilt mine into a good rider. I had to change the totally rusted steel belly pan with a Futura aluminum donor (same design). Much lighter also.

So after tearing into the engine to reseal I found some nasty stuff! needs some crank bearings and some pistons and a cylinder as the exhaust stub has stripped out the threads in the aluminum quite a bit also it has been blown up a couple of times and the heads are toast! LOL! oh well it turned over so nice and it had fair compression too! now it will be like new once I am done.

Found a mint crankshaft! and a cylinder too pistons are ordered as is the gasket and seal set and a new carb flange. Got the carb rebuilt with fresh parts after a two day soak in the nasty juice it looks mint inside and out. New windshield and tailight housing for the seat too, won't be too long till it is a good solid runner. I will post pics as I go.
