Hi,

In the Clymer book, within the FIRST 10 hours use inspection, it is recommended to re-torque cylinder head. My sled is a Form Z 583 1995. I'm not sure if they are talking about the cylinder bolts or just the cover bolts.

I just rebuilt all the engine from the bottom. IF I HAVE TO RE-TORQUE the cylinder bolts, i will have to remove the head cover, will it damage the thick rubber gasket and the compression O-rings? They are new, just rebuilt engine... Will I be able to bolt back the cover without changing the gasket and O-rings?

THANKS

They are talking about the cylinder head bolts. At least that's what's mentioned in the Doo shop manual. Should torque them to 21 ft-lbs.
