Well that is crap if you ask me. My apparent no stretch chain has stretched leaving me with no other option than to leave the tensioner I had put in it to try new gears. I guess that is why they changed the chain. If they are replacing crank parts that is a sign the cranks have problems and with all of this non support IMO does not bode well on keep a used Mach Z with no warranty. I do not get it.

As for trying one of Chuckaroos sleds if I was to be assured I can run it the way I do up here and not have problems I am in. Will this be the case??????? I know for short haul racing it works but can I ride for 150-200 miles a day every weekend and last all season.

Any new details on the 07 map or release dates??
I was told by my dealer that the 07 mapping was available end of October, BUT, it is not free for the 05, 06 owners. If you want it you're going to have to pay. I'm bringing mine in to have it installed as well as the new ring gear, and definetly installing the electric start. This thing is a beast to pull over. Feels like a recoil start V8.
Thats just not right we 05/06 models have to pay, They BRP has not fixed the problem yet, update this and that and still runs sh&%ty.. They better cause the Kitty cats will ruin our day... I saw a F1000 SP and it riped pretty good at the grass drags....
The update and ring gear are free.

The ring gear (#417222951) that we are to get, is it mounted on the primary, and also used for electric start? The reason I ask, is my dealer (who has lost its manager and head mechanic)tells me they have my part on order, and it is to go on the electric start. It is a spring and washer, cost @ $2.80, they say. ???
AMS the recall calls for the gear on the backside of the drive clutch, not the gear/bendix,.. also i ordered some of the springs that go infront of the bendix gear and won't use them even though they're the correct part # as they are shorter than the spring that came with the sleds when new ... don't think they'll keep enough spring tension on the bendix gear in the bumps (just something to check if people order new bendix springs)???krm

I think a lot of guys here have a valid point, but once again it is another classic example of BRP not doing the right thing. A lot of these issues are historical with the Mach, and yet BRP does not stand behind the product. These guys are paying big bucks (and many had problems right off the bat), when clearly many of the issues are doo to poor design or not enough testing prior to putting the sled on the market.
Thanks for the info guys, but now I will have to hear "don't beleive all that internet stuff" when I ask them to recheck the updates. Oh well,it won't be the first time.
AMS just give your dealer your vin # ,and he can run it for recalls as it appears hes not wery knowledgeable , or call brp customer service yourself ..
