Ok - we've checked everything that we can think of and this sled (even on the stand) will not pull anymore than 7500 R's. It has the stock clutching with all new springs. It had a kit in it for the first 3000 miles and worked fine. Stock parts with zero miles are back in it now and the thing will not REV! We checked compression, tore the clutches apart and cleaned and checked and re-checked assembly. Powervalves move freely - not sure how to check adjustment but I will search on here after I post this. Anyone with any insight? Thanks!!

hey just found something,,dont have schematics for vacuum routing, so help if u can,, vacuum from crankcase goes to( actuator valve?). then goes to a tee and splits to the powervalves. back to the actuator vlve,, other side of valve facing the exhaust can, has a nipple just like the 1 from the crankcase,, found it open,,no cap or hose running off it. this vacuum valve, obviously runs or assists the power valves,, what should be on can side nipple?? thx
cmon guys,, who knows the deal,,or,, where do i find picture of vacuum routing??/
Are you revving it on a stand?

If so smack your head and wait for snow! Running it on a stand will definately screw with you because the track is not loaded.

Besides the motor will not be making the same power now as it will in the winter (cold air = more power)
ok,,listen now,, been grass dragging for yrs,, just bought sled,,havent had a doo in 4 yrs,, almost all cats for 25+yrs. sled ,,(on grassy field,,test run,, wont rev over 7500,,clicker 3--to --6. even on the stand it wont rev. thinking the valves arent opening,, like i said,,new to the E-Raves. READ the post,, to those who have been around the 06 p-tek E-valves, someone should know. been banging my head all day,,?????
I don't have one of these sleds but looking on hlsm.com .. on the microfiche.. looks like the solenoid valve is suppose to have an open vent on it....

Wow, dont have to be an "edit for bad language" about it, if your so knowledgeable why dont you figure it out yourself?

Besides, you wouldnt be the first person to try and clutch a sled on the stand...

Yes the mag side nipple is open to atmosphere...

But that doesnt mean its still not a rave problem, when was the last time they were cleaned? Could just be gummed up, or a vac line leak.

The engine light on? Could be computer malfunctioning and not opening the valves
not trying to be an "edit for bad language",, its been a long day,, and have been trying , without a shop manuel, to figure this out and its 11.00 at night. djm,,and renegade,,thx for the answer,,not the 1 i was lookin for,,thought i found the prob,, but thank u for replyin,,dan
Just a thought, friends 05 powertech 800 x wouldnt pull rpms after numerous trips to dealer and a new computer they found very tiny pieces of clear plastic in the fuel lines, restricting fuel, they never did figure out where it came from, somewhere during manufacturing, sled was bought new . good luck

I had a buddy here in MI, with an 05 800x with the same exact problem.
thx ,,this sled was bought used and has 2000 miles+ on her,, the plastic found in the fuel lines probably was for the gas tank,,,seen many new sleds with tanks full of plastic shrerads in em,, good thinkin though.
it is gettin late,, from the gas tank,, shreads,, cant seem to spell,, or read i guess(clear plastic),, well the tank is black so i guess that wasnt it. time for sleep,, thx for the replys,, keep the suggestions comin
Have you adjusted your clicker on the primary? Each step up should increase RPMs by 200.
yes,, clicker on 6,, same within a hundred,, motor should over rev with new stock parts if anything. still dont think valves are opening. on clicker 6 the motor is completely flat,, not loaded at all,,shouldnt need to go there to gain r,s on stock set up. this think couldnt keep up with a 440 fan the way its runnin.
how much weight in pins is there?
to much wieght no RPM!!
all stock,,pin weight to springs and helix,,18.8 grams comes stock. cant do any clutching changes until the sled will run with the stock stuff in there

how many guys with an 800 p-tek could not run 7900-8000 out of the box??
mine runs 7950 all the time on my digatron tach
Mine straight out of the box will set the needle half a needle width past 8 grand.

But since the tachs are usually out a couple hundred i could be 7800 or 8200...
Not positive about this. but I believe these p tek exh. valves don't open until right around 7000 rpm. The reason for the good fuel economy. You sound like your on the right track. I would look at the solenoid that controls them or the ontrol to the solenoid. my 2 cents.
