I was wondering what the max rpms for a 06 mach z is when it hits the rev limiter? And what does the ecm do when it hits its limit. Does it shut down one cylinder?

8300 rpm's and no it does not shut down only one cylinder. It just goes into limp mode and acts like someone took all the power away.

RPMs' become vary unstable when you hit limits which sometimes vary between 8200 & 8800. This rpm flash will be hard to see unless monitored with a recording set-up. Right after rpm flash a/f will go 11.7 to 1 or richer. At the same time that your rpm peaks the a/f is very lean, but maybe not in your case because of your mapping.
