Dude....... Steve here AKA Crank shaft. You still got my ol 800X and hows it been running? How many miles now and of course the million dollar question... Hows the motor been holding together? I been away from sledding for a couple of years but thinking bout a come back. I have my 09 Nytro for sale and looking at returning to Doo. The Nytro is a great sled but its way heavy for any off trail playing. Thinking bout a TNT with the 500ss (600) mill in it. Catch ya later.
Hey Steve! I still have it, running great! turned 10k on it this winter. I did the whole engine at 8500 miles, new doo crank with mcb dual rings in it. I liked the SPI pistons better I think. it seemed to run harder with those. rebuilt the whole skid and everything at 8500 as well. basically it was a new machine after that. I extended it to a 144 a few years back, love the 144x2 challenger on it but it eats slides up a bit and runs warm when there isn't much snow on the ground. best all around machine I have owned to date, everyone who rides it says the same with the a-maizing customs valving and stuff under it. still have the spi expansion, reeds, the cudney clutch kit, and the spi head on it as well.
love my 09 500ss as well, I had some trouble with it late season this past winter but it will get fixed at some point. it is nice since it is light and nimble.
just added a new 120" xrs 800 to the line up for this winter, cant wait for that to come in so I can get it picked up. that will take place of the 06 and ill let the 800 hang in the garage a bit more now. hopefully it will have the fun factor of my 500ss and still rip faster than anything else on the trails for the most part.
Great to hear you got some good mileage outta my ol 800. She was a pretty good sled for me. I just picked up a 09 tnt 500ss with 3200 miles. Its got the XRS rear shox in it and a 1 3/4 camoplast track. Its in pretty good shape. CANT WAIT FOR THE SNOW TO FLY. Summer sucks. Lol. Have a good one dude.
