2006 skidoo 550 fan

I just picked up my dad's 05 550 fan ski doo. When I start it a code flashes on the spedo... I think 10-9 or something like it. then it goes to 17.3 miles. On the spedo there usually is a button to push to go back to trip meter but the space has no button
