That 583 is one snappy motor. my 1996 mxz 583 had 10000 miles on her before I even opened it up. Have fun an dont worry about being stranded strong iron under the hood

If you want it to steer like it is on rails. Try a set of USI or slp skis. I have used them both over the years an the USI skis made the biggest difference in how I felt at the end of the day on my 96 583 mxz. A lot better then stock skis lightens the front end right up. hope this helps.
