Did a 200 k loop today and talked to the OPP within our first 5 minutes. They did ask where we were from and asked for licence then said have a good day.

Was there Friday and Sunday. As stated not bad for now. 140 km on Friday and 250 km on Sunday with more bumps. We left from Trudy's.

Agreed.. I work for the railway up here .. and hundreds of people are travelling to and from the coast every train day, coming through Cochrane staying in motels shopping in stores and who knows where they came from or are going to. So I don't see why all the hoo haw over sledders coming north. It's no different than the train traffic IMO... If everyone would just use a bit of common sense and be vigilant with hand washing and other social distancing protocols etc... things "should" be able to stay in check. Those who don't .. well.. it will only screw it up for everyone else as the communities will put pressure on officials to shut it down.. as is/was the issue in Cochrane...

In reality this would work but its those bad words common sense. Hope your ridding is good and stay well.

Have we not been in this crap long enough to know as to what we should and shouldn't do. I think if everyone would play equal we all could have some well deserved fun. Are the room party;s really needed right now or could we grow up just for a little wile.

First ride today 130 km with new setup and loved it. Had John do duel spring set up and rebuild on front 3 and Elka 4 on rear. Was looking for more comfort and got it with good handling.

Well as of now trails are closed. Just because there is snow on the trail does not mean it is open. Quite a bit of snow, cold temps for long periods, and trail packing and grooming is required to set up a proper base. It's to bad there is no way to patrol closed trails and charge the ones wrecking it for the rest.
Agreed, please wait till there is a colour on the map. This causes property owners to say no to the trail crossing their land. Yes we are all anxious, including me. but only go when legal.

Any chance Bancroft is getting close to opening trails? Maybe by next weekend even?
Drove up there yesterday to check out the trails. Good ice base with about 4 inches of fluffy snow on top. If the rain doesn't come again i think at least a week with the snow that is in the forecast. I think this goes for everything north of highway 7.

No not as of yet but the railbed has a really nice looking base its a coming my man for sure typical start in the last five years or so it seems maybe a week or so later then other years. But not much Im just glad they are working things out so we can ride. Oh yeah Im not getting a 2020 ski doo 900 ace turbo no Im getting a brand new 2021 XRS 900 turbo with zero miles it is at the shop it should be ready by my Birthday the day before Christmas. So Im getting the latest and greatest of course pictures are proof and they will be soon LOL. I just glad we are opening up and keeping certain trails closed that would not connect to a higher risk area or something along those lines. If we had no season could you imagine the work to get them ready for the next season it would be allot.
Well happy Birthday and Merry Christmas and hope to see you on the trails soon .

I will be running stock for this year and just work on accessorizing it this you no like a WINDSHIELD lol and those footholders dual rate springs for the front and then a tune from boost but I will wait untill next year for that, The one I was getting was in a shop accident a new employee not use to four strokes no one got hurt but his pride.
Good to hear. Will be watching for when you get a tune and what you think of it. I'm running Huricane 195 with weights and 41 lower gear. Have had it a year now and love it. Better fuel economy when not into turbo too hard.

Grooming or packing should continue even with this lock down according to this. The Ontario Mnistry of Heath Dept. has released a pdf to help clarify things that can be done during this lockdown and snowmobiling (page 19) is on the list of acceptable recreational actives.

Polaris has all the trails from the years and years of gathering data for the Ride Command App. Few clubs here in IL now bought into it and are loaded on the App as well.
I bleed yellow but when something is cool it's cool. Good job Polaris.
