#23510523 My "real world" G4 XRS upgrades

Posted by Mach-ster on 09 October 2020 - 09:24 PM

I do 8" shapers down center and 6" shapers on outside works very good! This year I decided to try Laflamme's ski widening piece? After putting a micrometer on them you gain roughly a wee bit more than 1/2" width,he says people love them so we'll see?

Have PDM in mine and love it! Engagement is better than stock and not racer type hi engagement that your referring too. Corner to corner is where this kit shines or in other words where majority of fun is at. Great support with kit to boot!

#23336399 What is most important to you in a snowmobile?

Posted by Mach-ster on 22 March 2020 - 11:40 AM

First and foremost it has to look good!(cocky)if it doesn't I'm out!
2nd reliability!
3rd great HP / quick twitch muscle.
4th handling & ride comfort
5th Warranty to back it all up.
6th fair pricing!

#23318335 Trouble with Bikeman clutch kit

Posted by Mach-ster on 10 March 2020 - 08:48 PM

Bikeman uses 2 different weight magnets. .7 gram and 1.4 gram per my list conversation I had with them. I would call them as it's there kit? They should be able to offer some guidance I would think.

#23314815 2021 mzx x test drive

Posted by Mach-ster on 08 March 2020 - 11:13 PM

I personally thought video was fine! Your not going to be Johnny racer in a controlled setting, plenty of iron coming from other direction, groomer, etc? That would be hugh...test ride accident at Doo test ride? sure they would love the press!! People gotta step back n relax? It's a test ride for cripes sakes??

I have not had a lake to try since HRSS installed but prior to that my stock clutching did 111 indicated and that is with a 1.6IC that was studded with 48 Prolite doublebackers, at the time the lake was pretty rough & rutted as I recall, curious to see what if any improvement on top end with this kit once a nice hard lake comes into play. That said I sure love how the kit performs! like many have mentioned on this thread the corner to corner zip / pull is fun!!

#23269051 2021s NOT HAPPY, COMPLAINTS

Posted by Mach-ster on 13 February 2020 - 10:47 PM

Since so many are venting opinions I'll add my 2 cents. I think there are a lot of spoiled people out there! Good grief you'd think Doo just made a pile of crap based on many comments so far? Quite the awesome equipment if you ask me? Colors? Some very good some ey? But since this is a complaint thread here is my gripe...track choice during spring break? Get the track you want! Or even maybe color choice? But gosh guys Doo's are fantastic piece of engineering if you ask me.

#23254765 Stock vs jaws

This ol boy is staying stock pipe! If I want to go to Vegas I can do so anytime and get similar results? seems to be some work but also seems to be a fair amount that don't? Don't trust my luck I guess.

#23228833 xrs vs x

Posted by Mach-ster on 26 January 2020 - 10:12 PM

Sorry my Gade XRS does not ride like a Brick! To date it is thee best sled best riding sled I've ever owned period! R motion is the farthest thing from a " brick ride" that said I agree with you in the fact that the rougher it gets the more your glad of your purchase decisions.

Stock + Vforce
HRSS - PDM
Finally got some snow....running #1 2(1.3) #2 (0) #3 2(1.3) #4 2(1.3) = 115 mile test in cold temps 8100 all day with 6,7 times 8200 very snappy and feels good. Next time out temps 32 degrees and 8100 from start or roll on but if cruising say 40 mph and hit it then I’d see 7900 for a couple sec then 8000. Have some 1.7 gram mags coming, gonna try replacing #1 (1.3) and replace with (1.7) giving me total off 3 grams in #1 instead of 2.6 as we normally ride in cold...should be bout spot on. Love the kit!

#23218303 20 XRS 850 over rev stock

My recommendation would be to call HRSS and get his kit as it really works good!

#23210999 Gade VS MXZ

Posted by Mach-ster on 18 January 2020 - 03:06 PM

Totally disagree! Love my Gade...and I'm sure I'd love the 129 but why not have choices? Can't go wrong with either.

I will do final finish once we get snow, I was going to try 821 then decided "edit for bad language" on it and sticking with 571 not to mention kit was dialed with Doo belts and even now my backshift is awesome! In the whole skeem of things $165 belt vs $100 belt when your talking $15-$16000 rocket? Ey doesn't bother me,not belt eaters anyway.

#23184875 Poll: Who would purchase pull start/SHOT system for trail sled

Posted by Mach-ster on 06 January 2020 - 09:24 PM

Electric start here! Definitely open to the hidden pull start option though just as a security blanket.
