09 January 2021 - 09:05 PM

I have a 77 RV 340 cross country, with the liquid sno pro motor...

after another rebuild I’m nervous as to not blow it up again, I didn’t have original carbs so I built a set of 38mm mikunis to the specs in the parts manual, so  45 idle jets and 330 mains...

Anyone know the maximum size of phone the new glove box extension can hold? I use a garmin 6.1 gps, if it fits it would be the perfect mount and case.

Bent/twisted tunnel?

27 December 2020 - 07:48 PM

I have a 2020 backcountry 146 600R. I was in an accident last year where the sled went end over end hitting the handlebars and track as it tumbled. I was smashed up pretty bad, broken collarbone etc, but the sled sustained minor damage. It went to dealer that was an appraiser, the steering post was replaced, brake lever, one of the rear wheels, and the two acceleration link rods in the rear skid. I have a rack and rear adventure bumper that the dealer attributed to keeping the tunnel straight....

I had it out today and when a I walked to it from the rear, I noticed the track was not centred to the snow flap. I dropped a plumb bob from the same place on either side of the tunnel, the track is centred on the skid, but there is 1/2” gap from track to tunnel on one side, and 1-3/4” gap on the other...I,m thinking the skid is bent...or the tunnel...Does anyone have any thoughts? Should this thing have been written off with a bent tunnel?

im taking it to another dealer, for another inspection and appraisal...I’m livid as the first one had the sled all summer, and sat on it, now I’m scrambling...

anyone have any advice? Anyone ever had the skid off cantered like this?.

low to medium adjustable windshield questions

16 November 2020 - 02:53 PM

I have a 2020 BackCountry, so narrow Gen4.  I put the medium to high adjustable on last year, but didn't like it, currently run the low with the two tiny side pieces. With the medium to high you use the medium kit's side shields so you get more protection low on the sides and for your hands...

What does the low to Medium use? can you use the medium sides too?

Can anyone post close up pics of the low to medium on a  sled?
