University of MN Professor Stirs the Ethanol Pot Big Time

15 December 2014 - 05:02 PM

http://hosted.ap.org...-12-15-15-01-37

Wouldn't be surprised that the Believers put a hit on him or try to get him fired!!!

Sacrilege, Ethanol more dirty than good old gas provided by our mother the Earth!!!

The Professor says

"Hybrids and diesel engines are cleaner than gas, causing fewer air pollution deaths and spewing less heat-trapping gas. But ethanol isn't, with 80 percent more air pollution mortality, according to the study.

"If we're using ethanol for environmental benefits, for air quality and climate change, we're going down the wrong path," Hill said."

Even more amazing is to see this coming out of MN, this state because of corn crops/farmers is so pro ethanol that

saying anything negative about it is like taking your shotgun and shooting Bald Eagles!!

Doo Rotten Rubber, reed cages, rubber straps on side panels

22 September 2014 - 11:32 AM

Maybe the same Doo Vendor that makes reed cages makes the rubber straps that hold the side panels on.

The straps on my 08 XP are starting to crack quite a bit on the edges.  Have to remember to order some new

ones.

Would be a pain to be on one week trip to the mtns and have one snap.  Doubt that dealers stock them.

Good Luck

Bought a fix for the gas gauge at Hay Days & sled lost 5 lbs!

07 September 2014 - 06:12 PM

TrailTanks FINALLY got er done. they made a tank for the XP,s !!  I got to take a clear 12.5 gallon tank

home for $325 bucks and my sled will be another 5 lbs lighter, getting it down to the high 350 lb range.

The tank I have is for my 08 600 carb so it might be a few ounces lighter, doesn't have the 3" round

mounting piece for the fuel pickup.

My tank weighs 10 lbs.  12 oz.   If I am remembering correctly my OEM tank weighed 16 lbs.

The 05 Rev tank I have weighs 10 lbs.  which was going to be my last resort to try and get a lighter tank.

They had a XP with clear tank with maybe 4 or 5 gallons of fuel in it.  Clear to see why the gas gauge

doesn't work at all on these this chassis.

Sweet!!
