#22813613 MXZ 600R pinned fell on its face

Posted by andym2001 on 21 March 2019 - 11:25 PM

I think it's in the clutching. Mine doing pretty much same. No top end like when new. 2300 miles on mine now.

Torque rollers shot in mine at 1800 miles. Check yours. I’d bet that’s the issue. Just did a full service on mine. AMAZING difference. Whole new sled!

I think there is more on the table in clutching. I saw 106 consistently on the Heartland Trail in Park Rapids at the XC race this weekend, 107 at times. It has more left. I will find it. On Ice i am sure it will go 115 or better. I bet we hit 110 on hardpack before the season is over.

107 on my speedo this weekend. -25 degrees F... she’s getting faster!

Andym2001 is that the 23" windshield?

860201495 part number. High windshield, keep in mind you’ll also need 860201256 and 517306183

Love it... worth the money. Dad has the medium on his BCX and this is hands down better.

This is my 2019 XRS ID 600. Its smooth with much impoved ergos. Wind protection is not as good as 1 pc medium sport windshield on XS chassis.

Doesn't seem any faster than a comparison 2017 XRS ID 600. But we didn't really race.

Largest improvements are in chassis feel, ergos, and smooth linear power.0571e84ce21409e9b776ba90bd31690a.jpg

At 75 the high folds down for aerodynamics! Love it on my Iron Dog. Best addition I’ve made thus far. 9e5d1b06783730672bf2c370f2880c33.jpg

I own an ID as well. Its the XC racing sled. 2019 600R seems to run strong for the first few miles in the yard.
Looking forward to a ride in upcoming weeks!5322de5fd75fb3cbd1960c5ad3c35823.jpg

#21485969 1200 Gone

Posted by andym2001 on 20 February 2018 - 09:36 AM

My wife is a small woman. She went from riding a 121" 500ss to a 137" 900. On our way back from riding Sunday she confirmed that she LOVES her sled and no way she would ride a 120".

my wife has a 120" ace - the one she test rode and loved was a 137... still asks me when i am going to get her a 137...

Quick take on the 900T:
25/45 gearing @7750=109

A quick tune Increasing RPM to 8200 even puts you running with my sidewinder XTX (trying to compare apples to apples with a 1.6” track) at 116 MPH.

Start increasing boost, change a gear and your at 200HP or somewhere there about to match the Maverick HP. You’ll have a nimble G4, not a procross with 180-200 hp.

Weight : XRS is 20# heavier than X package. Keep that in mind as well

I think a win, will keep my fleet another year and see how the bugs work out!

Nice reveal overall DOO

#21455937 Happy Son moment

Dad taught me snowmobiling at 8 years old. He’s the most dependable friend who never backs out of a trip. He loves it... we spend all day yesterday adjusting sleds back to low elevation settings from West Yellowstone in anticipation for next weekend in MN riding. He’s 67 and still pushes the sled... he did pro-40’s on the front of his BCX and we geared his up to 23:45 yesterday. Hope he has many years ahead of him on (and off) the trail!

Great post on Dads! Enjoy as many years as you can!

Bumming out that I am going to be there the week before.  Would be great to see it in the winter without a guide... I have seen it in the summer and it was breathtaking.  Would have been great to see someone take this.  Enjoy our trip to Quebec.

Common courtesy has gone by the wayside. I quit riding with a friend who insisted on mountain cans and off trailing at every opportunity. He asked me why we don’t ride together anymore and I simply told him because he is disrespectful to landowners and I don’t want to be part of it.

I’m all about hopping off here and there for some deep snow when in designated areas.

I do think a trail or even a mountain can is acceptable in the mountain setting. When someone is lost... an etec at 8k can be heard to find a friend. We have radios now as well and are getting away from the cans in our group... respecting your surroundings are going to save this sport.

I ran up to lake of the clouds a few weeks ago and stopped twice to pick up broken belts on the trail. A cross country skier who hates sleds will be happy to bring it up to a legislator and that will be the end of that.

Rant over [emoji41]
