E-Drive2 Clutch Alignment Tool

28 February 2021 - 03:20 PM

Recently swapped in a new engine.  Marked the mounts before disassembly. Once installed, the engine is very close to where it is supposed to be. I was wondering if there is an alignment tool for the Edrive 2 and QRS clutches. If there is a tool, who makes or sells it. Any help is appreciated!

Looking for a 1200 engine

07 February 2021 - 05:28 PM

Looking for an engine for 2018 Blizzard.  Mine seized yesterday on a ride with 7000 kms (4300 miles) on it.  Oil light came on indicated "Low Oil".  Had to assume it was pressure because level was up.  It would initially run with oil indicator on but in a limp mode. Didn't go for very long and engine became noisy and the tow strap came out. Sled has had 5 oil/filter changes to date. So if anybody knows of an engine 2016 or newer in Ontario or Quebec, let me know!

Chaincase Cover Thickness

19 January 2021 - 09:07 AM

Just wondering if anybody has any idea of the cover thickness near BDC ( installed position ).  I was thinking of tapping a hole with 1/8 - 27 NPS tap.  Use plug with O-ring. I think I need 3 to 4mm of thickness  to get enough threads to do the job properly.

Sudbury Hotel Suggestions

Looking for hotel ideas in Sudbury.  Direct trail access with good truck/trailer parking.  Good restaurant (hot breakfast) would be ideal, and possibly a lounge that serves pints of herbal tea.

Electric Snowmobiles

24 October 2020 - 08:22 PM

With the advancements in Electric Vehicle technology in the last decade, when will the technology creep into our sport.  The weight of the battery will be offset by the removal of the fuel tank and 40 litres of fuel.  No exhaust system.  The decades old CVT drive train will most likely disappear also. Are manufacturers telling their R&D folks to start working on this concept?  How will they create the hype and market buzz that is usually associated with new model years and engines now? Performance of the current electric vehicles on the road is amazing. Can it be duplicated in snowmobiles. What will the range of a charged battery be?  Will they have built in chargers that require plugging in when you arrive at the motel after a day of riding? Going electric in this sport will be a game changer on many aspects of the sport.  Noise issues go away, pollution issues etc.  Your thoughts?
