I plan on tearing it all the way down and replacing the iso flex grease.
If your on a budget get Pro X dual ring pistons or the MCB like said. Don't get Seizeco's or bother with used pistons. Get the old base gasket and count the number of holes in the little group in the back middle. That will determine your base gasket thickness. . At least pop off the retainer plate and check the iso. When the stat sticks on a series 3 it seizes pretty quick, so you may be fine on the crank.We'll all get back to you on the t stat delete. It's easy few bucks with a 3/4" plumbing cap.
