LinQ Fuel Caddy for Grand Touring LTD

29 November 2020 - 12:43 PM

I have a 2020 Grand Touring LTD 900T, it cam with the large 62L storage box, that I added LinQ brackets to, thinking that I could use the LinQ 3 Gallon fuel caddy (Part #860200733, I had already bought this fuel caddy for my Maverick Sport XXC).

I tried the fuel caddy today on the GT LTD, and it doesn't fit, the backrest is in the way.

Does anyone know if the LinQ 1 Gallon fuel caddy (Part #860201774) will fit on the storage box before I (try to) buy?

Drive Chain Adjusting

15 November 2020 - 10:44 AM

I have a 2020 Grand Touring Limited 900T, but I think that the drive chain adjustment would be common to all G4's.  I followed the manual to adjust the chain tension, it says not to remove the hair cotter pin, and turn the adjuster clockwise until hand tight.  I attempted doing it this way, but despite tightening the adjuster all the way clockwise, there was still quite a bit of play moving the secondary clutch back and forth.  There was never any difference in secondary free-play at all.

The video says not to remove the hair cotter pin, but in the text under the video is says "*Note: You may have to remove your sled’s cotter pin in order to get the tension bolt to spin."

Which way is the correct way to adjust the drive chain?  Is the manual correct?

Carbides for Pilot 5.7SL Skis

26 October 2020 - 05:42 AM

I posted this in the General Forum, but for some reason it got moved into the XS 900ACE forum...my sled is a 900 Turbo G4...

I'm looking for replacement carbides for my 2020 Grand Touring Limited 900T, Pilot 5.7SL skis.

I've read here in the forums that the stock carbides have 4" of carbide, and I'd notice a difference in bite if I replaced them with 6" of carbide.

The only carbide that comes as a package of 4 (the 5.7SL's have two carbides about 1.5" apart in the centre of the ski) is the Pilot Extreme, but after searching online I can't find how much carbide they have?

If they are only 4", can anyone recommend a replacement 6" set of carbides (4) for the Pilot 5.7SL?  No Snowtrackers pls.
