#23792283 accessories 2022. What you getting?

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 11 March 2021 - 08:01 AM

For my Renegade X I've ordered the 1+1 seat kit with heated grips, wiring harness for the electric visor, passenger gauntlets, medium windshield kit, haven't decided which mirrors yet, visor plug, side panel deflectors, tunnel scratchers, SR21 tunnel bag, and the ride-on cover.

I've kept the glovebox extension with Garmin mount, LED lights, and tunnel connectors for my LinQ saddlebags off my 2020 GTL.

#23735911 Why doesn't BRP offer Silent Drive II in the other models?

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 15 February 2021 - 09:12 AM

The stupid Silent Drive drivers and track doesn't allow for any other track options when spring ordering, and makes it needlessly expensive to swap out (need track and drivers, and the silent-drive Ripsaw is worth nothing to sell or trade at the dealer).  The silent-drive track also cannot be studded.

Yes the trails are empty ,and as far as the heath unit they are to stay that way . So the OPP should pack there [email protected] and go home . Right now they should be all charged .

Agreed 100%.

#23667701 Ofsc rebate

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 14 January 2021 - 02:58 PM

Yes, I was kind of wondering that myself. It's not like your trail pass is your only cost, or in most cases your biggest, but nobody seems to be complaining about the other costs. I would think in most cases, insurance is a much bigger cost but I'm quite sure insurance companies are not offering any type of rebate.

Good point.  Insurance companies have offered discounts on auto insurance since March 2020 for those that don't travel to work any longer, they can work from home.  Hint:  Snowmobile insurance policies fall under the automobile insurance in Ontario...

The fees from the annual valtag sticker are paid to the provincial government, who are also responsible for the restrictions we've had to live under since the pandemic began in March 2020.

Why aren't we seeing the whiners going after these groups for their rebate?  They are the ones that are making money in this pandemic.  The venom and childish statements posted on various online sled forums by keyboard warriors against the OFSC is disgusting, if I were a volunteer I would be giving these snivelers a middle-finger salute and retire from volunteering.  Its just beyond my comprehension.

Did you whine to your insurance company (a for-profit entity) for a rebate on your insurance because you can't ride?  Did you whine to the provincial government (that taxes us to the hilt) for a rebate on your valtag sticker because you can't ride?  If not, why?  The OFSC (a not-for-profit entity that, with the member volunteer clubs, bring you groomed trails) is the only one you want a rebate from?

We really have raised a special generation

#23523239 Who has done the RAP tour?

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 20 October 2020 - 05:19 PM

I do the RAP tour every winter, leave from home in Petawawa, and alternate clockwise and counter-clockwise each year.  Going clockwise, first night would be in Dwight (Spring Lake Resort), second night would be in Bonfield (Cedar Gables Lodge or Dinner Bell-we avoid North Bay).  Each day is around 280 km's.

#22754229 Anyone looking to order a new 2020?

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 24 February 2019 - 12:51 PM

Ordering a 2020 900T Grand Touring Limited.  My dealer thinks that BRP MIGHT have added an adjustable backrest that was missing/cheaped out from the 2019 model, hoping that is the case.

#21807114 Final warning to all snowmobilers!

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 21 March 2018 - 05:44 PM

BTW

There are several mentions in the latest Snowtech mag(Spring '18) I got, to trail closures due to back country/off trail riding and aftermarket exhaust. So maybe its getting someones attention now in the industry as the sport dwindles and the loss of trails due to this #itsallaboutme lifestyle that seems to be more prevalent today

-grover

Hopefully it is getting the media's attention.  Some in the media need their arse kicked over their promotion of the off-trail crap...Are you listening Lester's?

#21790906 Static look at the REV-GEN 4 GT comparing to REV XR, XS

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 20 March 2018 - 03:39 AM

Well alright, thanks for the pictures. So Tues. or Wed. I'll be checking out the '19 Grand Touring....does anyone have any specific questions you'd like me to ask or any particular picture you'd like me to take...just let me know.

Yeah I expect I'm going to take a big hit on my '16 trade in (7000 km.).  Trying to sell it privately I may get more but I don't think there will be many takers in the spring.

Joe

Pics of the dash, seat and storage box would be great Joe.  Another assessment of the comfort of the seat too if possible.   :smile_old:

#21752402 Shot start on trail setups?

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 15 March 2018 - 04:51 PM

I hope not, need a battery to start sleds here in the north.  Drink some Metamucil and eat lots of greens to drop 20 lbs.

#21700354 Ts skis

No worries!    :buddies:

#21700194 Ts skis

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 10 March 2018 - 12:22 PM

I have the TS skis on our 2016 GTSE and love the adjust-ability.  In the morning on hard-pack trails, you can reduce the setting and greatly reduce darting, and turn them up as the day goes on and the trail softens.  You can choose between 4" and 7" carbide.

I've seen the aftermath of someone who ran Snowtrackers on a wooden bridge with broken bones, they won't be on a sled of mine.

I am disappointed to see BRP didn't include the Pilot TS skis on the 2019 GT Limited, instead they are a $700 option, despite increasing the cost of the sled over $2,000...

I am happy with the TS skis and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

#21668865 Anyone moving up to the G4 900 for '19

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 07 March 2018 - 05:17 PM

We were going to spring check a 128" 900 ACE in either a TNT or Blizzard for the fiance, but Ski-Doo saw fit to "streamline" their four-stroke product lines (yet still offer way too many Freeride/Backcountry/Renegade models).  No interest in a 137".

#21651073 19 INDY XC 850.... The Real Deal ?

Posted by Spanky in Pembroke on 06 March 2018 - 11:06 AM

This is what I don't like about Polaris marketing.  They take the biggest cheerleaders from HCS and let them ride the new stuff.  Everything is just amazing.  Let's here the real story.  O and I have a 2018 Assault that I like a lot, but its not prefect.  Trying to get real feed back before I buy a 2019.

Yah...much more reliable and non-biased reporting right here on DooLaide, I mean DooTalk LMAO...
