I just gotta say I just love this thread! I give the upmost respect for the OP. I love to see the guy that says... “well they dont make what I want, I will build it” or even just the realization of “these new sled prices are crazy and I can make it how I want it!” Way to go man if we ever meet up on the trail, you will drink on me!

I really wanted to buy a 650 VR1 for my wife this year... nut the cost was absolutely prohibitive. In fact an in-season “XC” with no fancy gauge or velocity shocks was still $800 more than the XRS 600R I ordered for her.

You do not need the rebound adjustment. The shocks are set for rebound..
I disagree. The rebound adjustment is the only true adjustment that affects the entire shock.... closing and opening one jet that only affected one area of compression is not enough.

Drew there are no new internal parts on a 900r
and everyone believes the turbo is the same as a RR
I run the green wheel @ 20psi and it seems happy on pump 93
and IMO I say the R turbo can too...
the problem I see with the old turbo @ 20+ psi is the very high iat
the stock timing cut starts 89f
maybe Dave changed it on his tune....
Agreed.. hoping it can maintain 20 psi safely.. with Outlaw Intercooler oats stayed in the low 80’s and below... usually in upper 50’s to mid 60’s. When I say internals I’m referring to the injectors, and turbo wheel. I believe engine internals are the same. I don’t need it to run 275hp... but man 230-240 would be fantastic.
