Hi bar549, I have a renegade 900 ace n/a 2021 and I would like to add precision efi stage 1. I see in your 900 ace thread build that you add "ECU Flash - Boost Engineering Stage 2 Flash with one heat range colder Spark plugs". Have you seen a good difference with your ecu flash? Please tell me a little more about that. Thanks

I watched some of your you-tubes on the 900 ACE edrive2 clutch rebuild. Great job! thanks. I have a 2015 Tundra 600 ACE and am considering changing my rollers as they have flat spots. You mentioned that the hex sliders are better. Can I get them for my sled, or do I have to stick with rollers?

Hi Bob My name is Jay Dixon. I live south of Port Huron. I am purchasing Rick Smiths 2019 XRS 900T. He told me you helped with his tune and set up. I am 25-30 pounds heavier than him, it's at 195hp tune now. I might go up to the 205hp tune. Any big clutch changes needed? 586 504 6955

Hi, Bar549! I preordered a 23 renegade 900 na. I don’t know anything about clutches and coming from a mxz 1200, I would like to buy a clutch kit that my dealer can install that would give more top speed to my sled. What modification(s) would you recommend that will keep my sled reliable? (I weight about 195 lbs). Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Bar549. New to skidoo picked up a 17 900 renegade. I read through all posts about your set up. Would doing the primary and secondary springs you listed make a big difference alone? Or Do you recommend I grind the weights to 36.5 grams too. I assume the 2017 renegade has the 749 weights, do you know? Do I have the correct setup, Goodwin 420-539, Dalton DPPS B/Y/G, 21lb intial tension. Thx

Hey Bob, how much are you selling the QRS spring tension tool for? Do you have any suggestions for Dalton springs to use in a 2016 Renegade 1200? Thanks, Dave

Just saw your message. I am retired and living in Florida and am no longer selling parts or services. Check with Chris at C&T Power-sports (site sponsor) and tell him I sent you.

Ok thanks, should I grind them down to 36 grams like the 749’s?
    Thanks

Hey bob, I have a question on my 2013 1200 mxz. I’m having problems between 60 and 65 miles an hour with what sounds like the belt slipping I was sure it was something in the primary so I took it apart put new pucks, o rings and rollers in. It was a little better initially and after about 4 or 5 miles it was running great again then 400 miles later it started to do the same thing??

Hey Bob thanks for your help. I am gearing up to do the edrive mods, but I priced my exp se has 740 ramps, should I buy the 749’s for the most performance? I am assuming the 740’s are for the work sleds, I rarely use mine for work
    Thanks

They are expensive to replace, I would just keep your stock arms/weights.

Hello I was wondering if your clutch mods would work for a 19 expedition se 900? Basically was looking for a little more low end acceleration.
    Thanks

I would use the same set up, but do not grind the weights / arms.

Thanks for the reply, I plan on doing it after this season is over, now my wife’s sled is a 22 expy sport 900 so it has the p drive, what would you recommend for that clutch?
    Thanks

Hello Bob, further to episode 2 of your eDrive2 videos regarding replacing the rollers with the hex sliders, is it possible to tap the roller pins out and tap them back in? I don't have access to a press to do this job but I also don't want to damage the clutch by tapping the pins!!. Thanks for any suggestions you can provide to reduce the risk of damage. Regards, Gerard.

If you can support it correctly. I would highly recommend getting the correct tools or have someone that has them do it.

Bob, looking for your opinion. I took my 2016 900ace Enduro to a buddy for clutch kit and replace some relays and coupler for a RER failure message. Sled ran great when I dropped it off. When the work was done, he couldn't get it started. Apparently the ECU ground went out. Any ideas to how the ground went out or is this complete coincidence? Thanks for any input.

Could be a complete coincident. Check all grounds (Battery, Footwell, Engine). Was sled jump started at any time? This can fry an ECU!

Hi Bob, Dale Moore here. How is Florida? Getting ready for the season and just wondering a couple of items. On the P Drive clutch does it require any Loc-Tite on re-assembly and what is the torque value on the mounting bolt. I have a 900T. Thanks.

No need for Locktite. Torque for bolt is 89 ft lbs. Raise the back end of the sled or lift sled on a stand, accelerate sled to 30mph, let off throttle and at the same time grab the brake handle and stop the track hard! Do this three times and recheck the torque to 89 ft lbs. Be very carful when doing this.
