newer sled clutches are designed to backsift so you have the motor to slow down instead of brakes. works great in the mountains, we love it!

I would avoid any cleaning agents and just flush with your garden hose outside. If it doesn't come out then it never will.

#8696209 Need advice on vent kits

I used the Hot Glue gun and Pet screen. Cheep and repairable with more glue! heat and reactivate! I cut hexagons in my drilled holes like the new style, guys ask where did I get the kit?

#7010305 New to this any suggestions appreciated

Use a teflon pot srubber to clean your clutch faces. steel wool will remove aluminum , one stubborn spot and you have a groove in your clutch face after scrubbing with Steel wool (Hard Metal) on Aluminum (Soft Metal) . Soften your front springs and remove your sway bar connecter on 1 side, when you try to compress the 1 side the sway bar connects to the other side and compresses it also. In essence you are compressing 2 sides @ once. Sway Bar disconnect allows you to compress 1 side @ a time and easier to Counter steer. Moo Moo! If your sled wheelies easy, shorten the limiter strap on the front of your rear suspension, lessens the attack angle, better for climbing and more ski contact on acceleration!

Pin 2 Win!.

I bought an 07 2 years ago for $4000. rode it 500km then crank went @ 2800 miles. New topend and crank was $1200 and I did all the assembly. Brand new 800R Summit under $10,000 with flex track and s36 front on an on. Buy new with a 3 year bumper to bumper! wish I did. now I am stuck with the old stuff.

$700 for a crank and $300 for pistons/ gaskets. my math says $1000 and you are good for another 07 to 14 so drop the 1 and you get 7 more years REV ON!

#5871153 Flex edge vs non flex edge 2.5" track

Posted by westrip on 02 December 2013 - 01:37 PM

Stick with a regular track. Polaris and Artic Cat still are. You will not experience a huge difference until you combine it with the T Motion Skid and that will run you into the thousands to make the complete switch. I have seen tracks for $300-$500 on Kijiji.....When I make the shift to a Flex Edge track it will be hooked to an ETEC 800R and an XM sticker on the hood!
