Does SD sell the RM as a complete assembly now or an RM upgrade kit for older XPs like the T-Motion kit? If so how much? If not how much would it cost buy all the parts separately? I suppose the best route would be to find a totalled sled being parted out but short of that how would your average Joe get his hands on a RM skid affordably???

i used auto paint, like the small 1oz touch ups. black, 2 light coats. looks decent i think?

i have parts numbers for the wide black rivets, nickel sized heads but i dont think there are small 5mm lets say black head rivets available. the tunnels are assembled and then dipped, srpayed black, grey, etc

nice work! i spent $20 on drill bits though, used 2 of em. carefull grinding with small cutting wheel on those hard rivets, center punch them to keep the drill from walking, drill a smaller pilot hole too!

anyways, nice job man, glad it worked out for you

Ive done a couple of bent tunnel replacements in my day, those rivets do suck but a small cutoff wheel and a die grinder save alot of time and drill bits.

Great thread guys. :righton

Looks like a fairly easy mod if you have the $$$ for the new skid. Half a day's work isn't so bad for the gain in ride quality either.

Not that I plan to upgrade the fanner (or do I?), but I was wondering do the older pre-RM XPs have the same holes marked out on the front brackets? My 2010 is at the cottage 3 hours away so I can't check but anyone thinking of doing this swap with an older XP might be interested to know.

PS Ian, let me know when you figure out how to rebuild the Motion Controls, okay? ;) :P

Just got started with a 129" Rmotion swap into my dad's 2010 TNT 1200 shorty (120") and it's basically just as easy.

Front bolt goes forward and up a bit, and the rear hole goes BACK. I bought the 129 Rmotion drop brockets from the 2016 blizzard and the rivet holes for the sc5 drop bracket will work. The drop brackets are a direct swap. Piece of cake!

Assuming I did everything correctly, it's quite the easy swap. I'm thinking I'll do the same to my 1200 if I like how his rides and handles.

Just swapped a120 Rmotion into my wifes 2012 TNT. Very easy swap, just needed the rear brackets from a RMotion sled. Really happy with the way it turned out.
