With XP years up to 2012, you need to purchase the decal kit in order to ensure everything lines up. Part # 860200767. It costs under $10 and includes templates to drill and a heavy duty sticker that is basically a spacer between your new linq bag or gas can. I didnt think I needed it, but honestly it looks pretty sharp and cleans the holes up a bit....and its
under $10.

1. (remove seat if it includes the trunk. this will allow you more room to work) To start, find the page that has the 120'' install template on it. Cut out the templates for the LH RH sides carefully. Then place them onto the tunnel as seen below. After they are in place, get a center punch and a hammer and punch a small dent into the tunnel where the template tells you to mark. After you are done using the punch, get a drill and a 10.5mm bit, OR a 13/32 bit...either works perfectly. Drill holes where the punch marks are. (also will need a T27 torx and a 5/8 socket).

2. After the holes are drilled, clean off any of the metal shavings. Place the two 3M decals in their respective spots over the holes. The picture shows what it should look like with decals in place.

3. Now place the linq mount on the tunnel with the T27 screw. From underneath, use the 5/8 socket to hold the instert in place while using the torx to tighten the screws. They are pre loctite screws.

4. Next install the Linq bag or can. The ski doo logo on the can/bag should be above your tailight, not towards your seat. The left side of the can/bag goes under the mount in the slot and the right latches into place via a rubber pull tab and latch. Install the seat trunk, or not...

Hopefully this helps anyone looking to do this to their 120. It really looks sharp and takes 20 minutes...LET IT SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to document this. I need to perform this installation in a remote location next weekend, and thanks to this post I now know what tools to bring and what to expect.   :smile_old:

I have installed a couple without a template or a sticker.  If you take your time to lay it out it really isn't that hard.

I know on the new ones they have factory marks where to put the holes. That would be nice! I didn't use the stickers on my 2012 I got and its wearing the paint off the tunnel unfortunately

Yea, the XS sleds have the stickers on them already. Just punch through. It's literally a 10minute job for A really nice accessory system
