We've all made horrible decisions, myself included. As has been said, we're all just one bad decision away from ruining our lives.

In this case, to go along with the bad decision, it seems his bad attitude after-the-fact is what landed him in prison.

The XP was the most fun sled ever made - but I liked my XR more. The 850 takes it to a whole different level. But darn, the 900T is Bad to The Bone!

No Need to Freeze-buy a set of these! http://www.coldguards.com/

While not condoning his behaviour in any way, I think it was likely a huge mistake representing himself.

Hard to say, he may be a worse person when he gets out. I am not saying the sentence is not appropriate, one would have to know more about the case a trial. If he truly did not take responsibility, he deserves a hard sentence.

It’s a terrible thing. And frankly an unneeded one.

I know someone who was killed on a lake, hit by a guy two times the legal limit traveling 90ish mph. The offender payed the ultimate price. His body scattered like an exploded cake from impact. Unforgivably so did the victim. Two years later same trail system I was hit head on on the trail, similar situation. Luckily for us he was going a lot slower, I jumped just before impact but we both lost our sleds, he went to jail, and has a lean on his house. All for what? Couldn’t go a few hours without pounding that beer..

Ever since the two things my riding miles has decreased drastically. I just can’t get past it. I suppose if it wasn’t for what I would say darn near 100’s of close calls from these idiots and the two actual incidents, I suppose I could look past it.

Sure sucks that anyone has to loose their life out on the trail enjoying themselves.

These machines and alcohol don't mix PERIOD!

I’m glad to see someone actually held accountable for their actions that day and the days after.
To many times we see and then forget the stories like this until it’s us in those shoes of losing someone close And it continues to happen every sled, boat, jet ski, atv, utv etc season. Going on 19 years this may a unborn son lost a father, 3 brothers lost their best friend, a mother lost her oldest, friends lost a good bud to the stupidity of drinking and driving.

I wish the best to this guys family and friends and to everyone that hopefully repeats this story to themselves and the ones we bring into life.

Tossing young people in jail accomplishes one thing, it makes older wiser criminals Our system is broken and needs to be looked at from outside the box. We’ve all seen people plastered driving sleds and atvs with passengers. One minute later or earlier and those two would of missed that car.

Supervised community service is far less costly to all parties concerned.
