wondering if anybody has any feedback on the new engine in a skandic or expedition chassis. I'm on the fence for a new sled next year and really like the idea of 87hp in two stroke weight vs the 900 ace. Skandic is my poison due to no a arms to tangle in the woods and also the width. any feedback either positive or negative would be greatly appreciated

600 E.F.I. season results?

Isn't it the same engine thats been out for years now with some minor tweaks? Ski-Doo 600 2 stroke engines have always been great performers and reliable.

it is a new engine with apparently the same crank and pistons as the 600r etec but without the rave valves and direct injection to dtune it and make it more user freindly/reliable but as with any new configuration only on hands testing will give the whole story. i have a 600 ace now in the skandic but find it slow when trail riding but love the weight of my 850 summit so trying to get a handle on what my next sled will be

Rides like a demon so his fuel milage is a bit off. Likes the power and smoothness.
One trip he said it took more gas than his old 550 but he was breaking trail in deep snow and the expy sport is bigger than his old 550 touring.
So far nobody has reported problems around my area.

long range rider, the 600EFI Skandics are rare. Even dealers hadn't seen one. The recall for melting plastic may be for the narrow chassis only. The all blacks are back for '22 and in the Gen4 look sharp.....

All I have to go on is a relative has one in the expy sport.

that would be a deal breaker for me the 550's were real pigs and i do some higher mileage rides with no gas stops anywhere close. i would choose the 900 over the etec before that is suggested.

Expy sport has the 16in by 154in track.
The touring has 15in by 137in track.
Two very different snogos.
He was breaking trail in deep snow and was close to 3/4-full throttle most of the time.

Told him the only real way to doo it is hand calculation.
I know on my 900ace expy it will suck the fuel when breaking trail in deep snow.
It's been close to 10mpg in deep snow pulling and breaking trail.

Two of my acquaintances run them and so far, they are happy with them. They were not wanting to go 4 stroke and have had no problems thus far. I think one has 1200 miles and the other is over 2k miles.
