I’m looking at a perfect condition mxzx 850 with 6700 miles with a rebuild engine with only 600 miles on it documented with all receipts for proof. I know it’s been discussed a lot but what kind of luck do ppl have with this many miles on the gen 4 chassis. I know some people put 20 thousand miles on the old rev chassis no problem. Thnx.

With those miles, a refresh of the clutches and a good inspection of the skid- replacing wheels or bearings and maybe some suspension bushings and you should be ready to go. I am always a bit wary of rebuilt motors if I do not know just who did it or if there is no mileage warranty.

Yea the dealer did it but not sure if the crank was done. Apparently only skidoo sells 850 cranks and they are 2000 a piece. If a 850 grenades I hear motors are 5k

Good and bad ones in them all I guess. Just finished the season with 15,100 miles on a 18 MXZ-X 850. Motor never apart.

$7,000 doesn't sound bad to me if it's clean like the OP says it is. I've never seen a cheaper one and you could pay $3,000 more for a newer one with lower miles but there is no guarantee it won't blow up.

No it’s being replaced, would almost like to keep it just to see how long it can go with the same owner & under the same type of care. It’s still working great & pulls hard. Had a few issues that got chased around for a while...turned out to be faulty injectors.

At what mileage did you start seeing injector related problems? I guess after a bunch of miles they need replaced

Definitely good and bad ones.

My 2018 has 2000 miles and currently getting a new engine and there’s absolutely nothing left of it. Can’t even salvage the core.

My 2017 has 4000 miles and it’s like brand new.

I’ve been very fortunate over the years as I’m very good at checking and maintaining sleds. It’s just there are good and bad ones for sure
