Just purchased a used 2021 Renegade XRS with the Panoramic gauge. Does anything on this thing work as advertised? I watched the Youtube video that Doo put out 3 times. Loaded both BRP connect and BRP Go. I've pretty much given up on the GPS part as the half screen is really too small for my 61 year old eyes and it seems to need reconnected every time you turn off the sled. I think I will stick with the Garmin Nuvi that worked great the past few years.

So my question is getting the music to play on my Uclear helmet communicators. I can't seem to get the sled to connect to the Uclears. Has anyone done this successfully? The phone connects to the sled, and my music shows up on the screen. I can change tracks and volume with the handlebar controls, but nothing comes through in the helmet. I've tried connecting to the sled a dozen times. The phone is connected with the USB cord, and through the bluetooth. I'd like to at least be able to use one feature of this fancy option.

Thanks

What does that mean? I already bought the sled. It was a used 2021 and I got a good deal, so I really didn't pay for the gauge. The original owner didn't use the GPS or music features. Just trying to figure out how to get the music controls on the handle bar working. I like to listen to music on my Uclear speakers, but hate having to pull out my phone to turn down the volume or pause when we stop.

To be honest I dont use much of those features myself, Nuvi and my phone to control music... anyway I think the handle bar is for answer and end calls, I think you have to use the pad on the counsel to change songs.. I have turned the app off on my phone now as it always starts playing music when it connects and I have to dug out my phone to turn it off.

Good luck is the best I can say, sure they are making improvements for next year (app wise), this gauge is prob going to be around for a while.

The truth is it wasn't executed very well. There's quite a bit of discussion regarding the new display with the majority being negative. The general opinion is that it is underwhelming to say the least. If it functioned well it could maybe get a pass, but when you combine the presentation issues and add the poor functionality (at this time at least) it's not a desirable feature to even have on your sled.

I feel your pain.  I ride in Maine and BRP Go! does not have the Maine trails (only one in NE and Eastern Canada) so tried to get music to connect to my cardo speakers but not enough patience to figure it out.  Got the cardo App on my iphone (as well as the BRP apps) but still not working.  So unfortunately I can't give you much advice . . . . good luck!

My phone will connect with the sled, and my music shows up on the screen. the handlebar controls even advance the songs. But for some reason, I can get the sound to come out in my helmet speakers. There is a function for adding the helmet, but the sled is just not seeing the helmet.

I am all in with BRP but the new gauge falls short compared to the Polaris 7S.

use the Uclear controls for the volume

I can already do that. What I wanted to do with the new fancy gauge was forward to the next song, pause etc. Sometimes when the group stops, it's a pain to pause the music with your phone in your pocket or hit the volume button 7 times so I can hear what one of my buddies is saying. The features are there, so it's really annoying that NONE of them work. I played with it for an hour today and couldn't even get the maps in BRPgo to open.

Hello Bill.
Ive had the same set up all season and it has been challenging to say the least.
But I have been able to listen to Pandora through my uclear. Typically I connect my phone to the sled with Bluetooth first, then connect the helmet to the phone. And lastly plug your phone into the USB. It seems to work if you do it in this order. Then you can control the volume on the left handlebar switchgear.
You can pause and advance music on the controller on the left side panel.
But you are right, you have to reconnect the phone to USB almost every time you shut the sled off.
I'm mostly disappointed with the system. Just hoping they can fix it with software updates for next year.

BRP did release a new update for the GO app a couple weeks ago. Version 1.2.0. Not sure if that will help with any of your issues.

Thanks for the info Wink. Looks like my phone updated automatically.
One thing I noticed this weekend and thought was odd. We rode from our cabin in Richland, just west of Redfield to Old Forge to have breakfast. I programmed the route before leaving. However, the BRPGo map does not have Old Forge's trail system! So I had to use a pin location in the general area of the intersection between Brantingham and Old Forge. Thought that was strange with the amount of people that ride in that area.
I still like the old New York state snowmobile map app produced a few years ago by Mohawk Valley GIS. Still the most user-friendly and reliable app I've used. It's a shame someone didn't purchase the rights to the software when the original designer passed away. She had such a passion for the sport. It would have been nice to continue her legacy.
I still have the app on my phone, but can't get the BRP app to bring it up.

The gauge looks good, but functionality is terrible.  There's no reason why you should have to plug your phone into the sled to use the GPS.  Why couldn't the GPS be implemented into the gauge?  I must be missing something here.  I think of how easy my Garmin works on my road and MTB bikes.  Yes, my Garmin will occasionally update trails for my MTB, but it does that via WiFi.
