Where did you get that information? all the auto manufactures are prostitutes for volume they don't care if a dealer advertises for under cost.

Common sense is worth a penny and we are billions in debt.

Sounds like the bean counters are taking advantage of the current situation regarding the market at hand and making sound (for them) business decisions and you cannot blame them one bit and you could not expect anything less.

Long term this may be perceived by the customer as being taken advantage of to some degree, based upon what has been available in the past (incentives).

I am considering Spring Ordering a 2022, but I will not be pushed around to hurry up and do so before I have been able to crawl around under one and touch it especially a first year model with new technology. Oh, and not paying full retail either so if that is a problem I will be good for another season with what I have.

Any word around about a demo show/ rides of the new tech anywhere ?

It appears Old Forge SnoFest 2021 is cancelled .

I was told there will be in-person static display shows.  The one closest to us here in Wisconsin is on Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27 - and Spring Orders close on March 31, 2021.  So are they going to be sold out of Spring Orders by then?   Pffftttt...  Guess what BRP- WE DO NOT HAVE TO BUY YOUR PRODUCTS!!!!  Who do they think they are, the Soup Nazi?  Go ahead and NOT let me order a new Ski-Doo; maybe that will be what it takes to make me try a Polaris, again.

I will not feel bad for them one bit when the economy turns and they cannot give product away.  I guess they are just making hay while the sun is shining.

Every year I see people post about how BRP is "cracking down", and every year I see Spring Order units for sale on the showroom floor at dealers all over the Midwest.

FYI, two can play at this game.  When BRP would not give me the additional $500 coupon, I used my friends and ordered the sled in his name.  When it came in, my dealer called me and I paid for it and registered it in my name just like every other sled I bought.  They dealer knew and encouraged it because some of his best customers did not get the additional coupons and were POed.

Where did you get that information? all the auto manufactures are prostitutes for volume they don't care if a dealer advertises for under cost.

For auto dealers the name of the game is volume & trade-ins... they will sell that new car at dealer invoice (they do get "holdbacks" from mfg), especially if they get their hands on a decent trade they can make a couple grand on.  Plus, no one is 'giving away' new trucks & big SUV's.

I bought a '21 Expedition Sport 600 EFI (in Dec, they had 3 in stock)... my local dealer took $300 off list. Not a lot of profit margin on that sled, so I thought that was fair.  Also gives me a 10% discount on everything else I buy there. And they treat me and my family really nice... which seems like an "option" lost on some dealers these days.

If the dealer makes little or no profit on the sled, how can the customer expect great after the sale service?

Building a fast sled in low production numbers (= no profit) so that a handful of 300+ lb guy can drag their fat ***'s across a lake for giggles and bragging rights on DooTalk isn't some thing BRP stockholders want to hear about at the annual meeting.

My dealer will have the BRP tour show up on April 3 with some '22 sleds. No idea if they will do test rides or not. Altho, we will have plenty of snow on hand.

Edit: Back in December, BRP had a '21 mountain demo ride at Wolf Creek Pass, in southern Colorado. That was an 'arrive and drive'... show up with your gear and avy pack, beacon and ride with a group for 3 hr.

No paper accessory catalog stinks. Scrolling thru PDF file on phone doesn't cut it. I heard F150 doesn't come with paper owners manual any more either.

Limited spring checks seems like a good way to lose sales to me  :shrug

I have already put my $500 down on a Mach Z. My dealer said nothing about $1000 down.
Owning a Mach Z is like having a totally hot girlfriend,................ all of your friends want to see it and check it out, they all want to know what it is like to ride it, but if they only knew how much time and money it takes to keep one up, they would call you a fool!

Same. I'm so flippin happy with my sled I'll keep it at least another year.

The XP was the most fun sled ever made - but I liked my XR more. The 850 takes it to a whole different level. But darn, the 900T is Bad to The Bone!

No Need to Freeze-buy a set of these! http://www.coldguards.com/
