I was talking to the sales manager at my Doo dealership the other day. He said they have had so many people ordering new sleds that they might max out their allotment by the end of next week. Has anyone heard of this before? He also said Doo wasn't giving snowcheck options to smaller dealerships as well this year. Never thought that this would be a thing, and I don't believe he was blowing smoke either, but I guess they can only build so many.

Sounds like a scare tactic. If they have "too many" orders they can simply cut back on making in-season models.

Perhaps a Sales tactic.

I agree, if Doo has already maxed or is close to their allotment of snow checks, they royally screwed up big time.  Where are all the remaining people interested in snow checking going to go, the other 3, I mean 4 companies? huh.gif   I'm sure some dealers haven't gotten their pricing yet.

Your dealer is probably ALMOST out of ocean front property in Ohio too! Get a move on it.

On a serious note, find a different dealer.

Not sure about maxing out anything but my dealer also said spring orders are going crazy. Mach z's are also moving. All their 2021 seadoo inventory/orders all sold out. Boats gone, bowriders are crazy hot. Its a repeat of last year.

It's the highest volume dealer in the Province, so not a mom and pop shop.

They did shorten the ordering window a few weeks this year. Last year was two months (Feb 13-April 14), this year it ends in March 31. Probably not related, but interesting.

Yes. Why would doo ever want to put a limit on snow checks?

I can see this happening as. last year most dealers got cut back on there orders my dealer got cut back 150 sleds was sold out mid dec factor only has so many months to make so many sleds than they switch over to spider bike and if they want to keep a grasp quality control they will keep close to there time lines so yes can see spring orders being sold out maybe they forecasted this that's why cut back time to march

This is going to be a real thing. We are having a good winter in my area and dealers have zero 21 inventory. The way 22 Mach Z's are selling around here they will need to add a 3rd shift.

a 3 rd shift is not as easy as it sounds to find people that actually want to work and than train them and than parts they need
