Anyone know why this trail is still red from Brandy Lake to Bracebridge ??? The trails around Bracebridge are all yellow.

Closed because of land dispute.  This is what is on the clubs facebook page.

Hello Folks, Just wanted to update everyone on the C102D trail between Brandy Lake and Carr Road near Port Carling. As many of you know, we lost this section of trail a few years ago due to trespassing and blatant disregard for personal property.

Fast forward to 2021, and there is a new owner of the property. We were hoping to re-establish the trail on that piece of land again, however the new owner has made it very clear to us that there will NEVER be a trail again on that property. As the landowner that is certainly their right, and while we are very disappointed to lose this section of trail permanently, we must all respect their rights . You will note on the ITG that there is a break in the trail for this section. We have also clearly marked both side of the former trail.

The bottom line, please stay off this landowners private property. I cannot stress it enough that there is a very good chance you will be charged with trespassing if you choose to disregard this warning.

As for a reroute- we have been working with the township and the district for well over a year, hoping to establish a new permanent route. I am crossing my fingers we will have some good news to announce very shortly. So please keep an eye on the ITG, but again, for your own good, please stay off this property. You have been warned.
