I have to kinda agree it is dumb. Zero prove. Maybe I work off facts because I worked in engineering but politics don't play by the same rules. Image is everything.

It's seems simple to me. I bet both party's are at fault. We all know there are ignorant "edit for bad language"s that leave beer cans and trash on the ice just like we see on the trails(sort of like the guys that leave their busted belts on the trail) but...I'm willing to bet the home owners are exaggerating so they can have their peace and quiet but when u live on the water that's not really a thing. But again it doesn't give the public the right to act like idiots and disregard the locals imo. But u can't fix stupid or ignorance. My thing is if it's that bad we can't the police just sit out there and have a heyday? Problem solved! I know when I am on the ice or in public I'm aware that law enforcement may come visit me if I'm being stupid. Correct?

It sucks for us locals who have done the right thing and followed all the rules, however frustrating they may be. Now we are losing our trails just as things are getting good because of people travelling in and a health unit that is hyper sensitive to public pressure.
I guess we now join the ranks of those who trailer to other regions to ride. How stupid is all of this ?

I’m not sure if it’s just me getting grumpy as I get older, but it seems to me there is just no respect for each other any more. We see it in the way people trespass, rip and tear and cause damage instead of treading lightly. We see it on the roads the way people rarely give others a chance and are always ready to blow their horn and be rude. It’s just everywhere. Snowmobiling is definitely suffering because of a lot of people with the wrong attitude.
As far as trail closures, this has been a crap time and it just continues. Just when we thought we were going to get in some good riding to make a change and get out and do ...something! we lose that too.
