my sled is new to me.... so How do i change the speedo to MPH?

I believe there's a connector/wire you need to unplug. I don't recall what it looks like, but generally on the left side under the guages.

On the original REV, there was a wire to unplug.  On the XP and newer there is no wire, the gauge needs to be reprogrammed by a dealer or a person with the aftermarket equipment.  They can also unlock features in the gauge like coolant temp gauge etc.

As Stealth mentioned, 2007 was the last year that the consumer could switch the connection under the console to have the speedo display metric or imperial.  Anything newer requires BUDS or similar to change it in the ECM.

Ok- so a trip to the dealer / service order.... correct?? (so this will be a $150 change to MPH...??? think ill just stay KPH - LOL)

It takes 5 minutes to do.  A dealer may have a half hour minimum charge, but if they charge more than that to do this they are hosing you.  You would be further off to find someone with aftermarket software that can change it and also unlock features in the gauge the dealer can not such as coolant temp gauge.

Riding a snowmobile without an engine temperature showing on the gauge is a bad idea imo.
