They just did, it’s called the 600R. Poo’s new 650 is a response to it. And for the record the 600R was a late release in 2018, it didn’t go into full production until 2019. And per usual exactly 2 model years later Poo comes out with their copy for 21. (square design torquey for it’s class 600 with durability enhancements) The turbo RMK will be Poo’s next copy cat move.

And right on cue...LOL

I don't know, my '02 700 was one of my favorite engines I've ever owned.

I loved my 850s but a 660-700 would be sweet.

Having said that, my bet is typo. I dont see any new engines coming any time soon. No real need for them.

I loved my 700 mx ,and then it was gone ,just disappeared over night .

Having the old doo 700 and still do, just needs a new top end. I loved that sleds power. It was perfect. Since the 850 came out I've been hoping there would be some middle ground in the 2s department. 600r is an amazing motor and very responsive. It's all I need in the woods. On the yoop trails that are long and straight and wide I would love to have that middle ground 700cc sled. I dont want or need the 850. I've never been that guy to buy the most powerful anything from 4 wheelers to street bikes to sleds I like the middle horsepower area. I would absolutely love that 140-145 hp range

With the success of the Poo 650, I predict as I did some months ago that Doo will up the ante with a 670 with the 2023 or 2024 model. They now have the 600efi for the less power hungry buyer and are free to unleash a more 700 class type motor. At the present time, there is a huge gap between the 125ish 600R and the 165ish 850. A 670 with around 135ish to 140ish HP would be an absolutely perfect trail sled. I would jump for a sled in that range. My 850 is really nice but a bit more weight and power than I need. The 600 is a nice trail sled but lacking a bit in punch. The race circuit limiting sleds to 600cc forced the end of the 700 class sled but in all reality, the 700 class sleds were perfect trail sleds.

The 900 Turbo makes 130hp to fill that gap. I don't think Ski Doo's market strategy is to follow what another competitor is doing. once you start following others you put yourself in 2nd place.

That's a 4 stroke and roughly the same hp as our 600 2 stroke. What gap is that filling? Just saying that's not at all filling any gap for us. That's just.. hears a few 2 or 3 extra ponies to compensate for the additional weight the 4 stroke brings. Not at all what us 2 stroke guys are looking for. This year the 4s was 150hp, now next year its 130 hp. 130 hp 600r or a 130 hp 900t. I'll take the lighter more agile 600r in a 129. So like were saying a 700 will fill our gap and likely be a hot seller!

Think about street bikes. How crazy would it be that they offer you a 600cc engine or a 1000cc engine nothing in between. Pretty crazy as those are huge power differences. That's why they make a 750cc engine to be middle ground. Why should sleds be any different?
