Snowest magazine, January 2021 issue, Project Khaotic on the cover, Page 26 bottom right picture w/ caption....See attached pic

I think it is a typo but maybe its a glimpse into the future...who knows. There is no other mention of a 660R engine in the 2 page article other than this caption.

Something to ponder other than the state of the world right now.

why does Doo need a 650 or 660 ,just because Polaris cannot build a 600 to be competitive. The 650 is Polaris creating a market where there was none. Novelty of a first year something different engine sled  will wear off(Fusion 900). 600's have become the mainstream engine size. Adding 50 cc has everyone in a tizzy, if you want power buy a  850,despite claims the 650 isn't an 800. Never will be. Unfortunately Polaris appears to be abandoning the 600 market unless something comes out of their new racing dud 600 engine. But claims on that engine would make the 650 redundant.

Didn’t Doo add 50cc to the 800 and everyone was in a “tizzy”. It’s marketing. Create a new market segment and sell more than the other guy. No different from what was already done by Doo. The Doo faithful even have to call the Poo the 840 to make themselves 10cc longer, I mean bigger, I mean have more displacement, I mean longer stroke, just to be that much “better” than the next guy.

I'm sure it's a typo but IMO doo should do something to bring some excitement to the 600 lineup. Lots of people thought a 650R should have followed the 850 so the 600R has been disappointing since 2018. Now the Matryx is better than the 600R in nearly every practical category... no way I'd ever buy a 2022 600R if it's a copy of the 21.

I'm sure a 600 e-tec 137hp Triple would bring some excitement

I don't know, my '02 700 was one of my favorite engines I've ever owned.

I loved my 850s but a 660-700 would be sweet.

Having said that, my bet is typo. I dont see any new engines coming any time soon. No real need for them.

The XP was the most fun sled ever made - but I liked my XR more. The 850 takes it to a whole different level.

No Need to Freeze-buy a set of these! http://www.coldguards.com/

They just did, it’s called the 600R. Poo’s new 650 is a response to it. And for the record the 600R was a late release in 2018, it didn’t go into full production until 2019. And per usual exactly 2 model years later Poo comes out with their copy for 21. (square design torquey for it’s class 600 with durability enhancements) The turbo RMK will be Poo’s next copy cat move.

I was just going to say they should bring back the 700. It was a soild engine an could make a 145 /150hp with today's engine technology.

Bring back the MXZ670.   That old motor hit the sweet spot for me in performance, weight, price etc....   I would buy one if they made it.
