OK, today my brother-in-law called me to tell me his cousin, who lives in London, was on his way to Niagara Falls to take in the winter sites, and was stopped by the OPP and given a $800.00 fine for being "out of his region" Like most stories, I did not get this first hand, just from a cousin of a brother-in-law, before I call this fake news and tell my brother in law he's an edit for bad languageing liar, Does ANYONE have actual first hand knowledge. I'm heading from Windsor to the cottage in Huntsville next week, with a buddy who does not live with me, should I worry? Thanks in advance.

I haven’t been stoped this year but my buddy was out got stoped out of his region. They checks driver license, insurance, sticker and then said have fun

So the opp had their license and saw where they were from and no problem

There are no laws against leaving your region just recommendations. Traveling with someone not in your household may be a problem.

Ask the former finance manager for Ontario, or the thousands upon thousands that enjoyed a nice sun filled vacation down south over Christmas.....

No law preventing you from going anywhere. Go and enjoy yourself.

Simple? Maybe in your world.

I’ve heard of people getting tickets for not wearing mask in a vehicle travelling with someone that’s not in the same house hold. Other then that, have fun!

They are open. Dining rooms are closed, but take-out is open all hours. So if you want a poutine at 2 in the morning, it can be delivered to your room with a complimentary desert lol   Last year there was already talks about keeping the hotels/motels open and allowing snowmobilers to warm-up inside.

Are there any travel restrictions within the province of Quebec or for those coming into from Ontario ?
Looking for options if OFSC closes everthing again.
