Anyways, thank you all for the well wishes. The national series is still kicking off January 8th and 9th at ERX in Minnesota but with Duluth being pulled from the schedule and Fargo pushed back later than normal, it means my first race of the new season will actually be a GNSS regional. The race this weekend takes place in Salem, WI and is open to the public for those in the area. Head to gnssracing.com for all the info on that.
This will be my 4th full season on the GNSS series and I’m going for 4 straight Pro Lite and Pro Am championships. It’s not going to be easy with how much guys seem to step up year after year, but I’ve put a lot of effort into my training off the sleds and it seems to be making a difference on the practice tracks.
With it being round 1 and the first race of the season, it’s going to give us a great opportunity to get some practice starts in the books with the regular starting light us racers are used to. It’ll also give me an idea of how my race pace is compared to my practice pace. I’m really hoping they make us run some longer races this weekend too. It’s one thing if you can sprint for a few laps, but the training really shows when we’re forced to do 10+ laps for our heats and finals.
We have some final preparations to do the next couple of days, but this is the sled and trailer you can expect to see at the races this year. Thank you to everyone that is supporting us and reading along!
