I am looking at upgrading my lighting with one of the ski doo aux led lights but I am not sure which to choose from or how they differently light the trail.   Also why a wide vs narrow aux light for the g4, what is the difference?

My sled already has the holes in the side for the Auxiliary side High Beam and I do have the sled apart right now so any install on my 19 600R should be fairly easy.

FYI I always ran the ski doo aux underneath light on my XS chassis sleds and really like how it filled in the hole when on high beams.

Thanks for the hand everybody.

I have both, if I had to choose one I'd take the hi beams but I'd buy them both again if you do any night riding.  The high beams project further down the trail but the Aux light is a wider beam that shines "closer" up on the sides of the trail. They work well together and when you shut them off you can really see how bad the stock headlight sucks...  Then again, I'm 43 and my vision isn't what is used to be at night.

Ty for the input. I am 51 and the night vision for sure isnt as good as it used to be.

My local dealer will sell me the pair for $650 including tax, think I am going to do that.

Also, the "Narrow" and "Wide" refers to the G4 2 stroke vs 4 stroke chassis.

That's a good price. I just paid $350+tax for just the high beams. And I thought that wasn't too bad considering full retail on the high beams is now $405. I could've waited till Black Friday and saved another 28 bucks or so but I just wanted to get stuff done and be ready. If you really want to complete the package add some Sii Alpha LED bulbs. Oh and don't forget to adjust your headlight aim. It's real easy on the G4, there's a white plastic screw in the bottom of the glove box. Maybe do that b4 the addons. And IDK about the 2019s but many with 17s & 18s reported the stock setting being way too low and having to crank it up.

The aux led under headlight i ran last year and was not impressed for what i had to pay. A good set of led bulbs would have done the job alot cheaper. I really like the looks of them too but it didnt work best for me. This year im going to be trying the backwoods bmp aux led hoping for better results.96ff03db31a0243126ed2f980dd8865a.jpg

Do the Auxiliary high beams on the side have a folding in ability? Kind of like a sideview mirror on cars do?

Thank you for the info Tigearl.

Got the call that my ‘21 XRS 129 is in. I’m putting on some lava red accessories like Ski loops, Extreme skid plate, hand guard caps. I’m also putting the Auxiliary LED’s on...just like how they look. Ran over to take a quick gander as they had it together(none of the lava red accessories are on it yet), and the black looks Bad "edited for inappropriate language" with the red suspension arms. The thing was shining like crazy...very happy with the black. Can’t wait to pick it up Saturday with the lava red accents on it!

My dealer had my black one, and a liquid titanium/lava red one together(both were ordered together, and were loaded up with everything). And gave me the choice of which one I wanted. I thought I was gonna jump ship from the black, and go with the liquid titanium. But When I saw them both in person, the black looked so shiny and sinister, I liked it a lil more. The gloss of the black did me in lol! So I stuck with the black XRS.

Where did you get Lava Red Ski Loops for the new Pilot X skis? I haven't found them yet. Any info you be appreciated!

It’s a personal choice , each of the two options addresses different areas. If you have no issues spending the coin then go ahead , you’ll be happy and enjoy your sled . Don’t listen to the naysayers about not having LED’s from factory, buy some bulbs and put them in . Initially had only the under the headlight LED and was driving back from Twin Lakes to Eagle River two years ago in the that blizzard and the way the aux light lite up the trail something to see.. Put the high beams on for last winter unfortunately haven’t had a chance to ride last winter so hoping this year get to try the whole  works.

My dealer ordered them for me last Thursday. He said they said viper red on his computer, so he said if they aren’t the right color I didn’t have to take them. Well they came in, and They are the lava red ones I wanted. So he ordered the right ones.

Don’t waste your money on the one under the head light. The aux high beams are amazing on the other hand.

Think I found them! But they don't specify the shade of red. But like you said, I'm sure my dealer wouldn't make me buy them if they were wrong. I'm going to try! https://www.ski-doo....-pilot-tx0.html
