Im working on a new-too-me project sled (details here: https://www.dootalk....rving-a-memory/) and when I examined the rear suspension I found this strange cracking in the hyfax. They seem to have lots of wear left, is it safe to keep running these or should they be changed out? I’ve never seen anything like this, both sides look the same. Thanks!

They have melted from lack of snow and overheating.  Or were not properly tempered or broke in.  I would replace.

I'd replace only because the skid is out. However, I wouldn't be afraid to run them or even hold onto them as spares.

Sounds like the consensus is to replace them, that’s what I’ll do. I might hang on to the old ones as spares even though I’ll end up throwing them away years down the road lol. Thanks guys!
