Heading north the first part of October and taking a canoe with me.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which river to put in for a nice scenic float with my wife. We are mainly staying in the central and eastern U.P.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Two Hearted is nice. We Kayaked it. We put in at Reed and Green bridge. It is a long float to the mouth. You may be able to put in closer off coast guard road.

Stay away from the Sucker River near Grand Marais. Aptly named.

I would vote for the 2 Hearted as well, some of my buddies will paddle the Pine River (Rudyard area) but its more of a drinking trip.
