I ordered a 2021 MXZX with the 600R engine.  What can I expect with this engine.  I had a 2009, 2012, 2014 and 2016 E-tec and loved them.  Will I be happy with this engine?  What is the difference between the two engines?  I know it has more horsepower.

Total like the 850 motor with ISO bearings. Great motor , still has the E-tec set up.

600R is more square ( slightly under actually ) - translation - more torque. The mid-range pull is going to feel much stronger compared to the previous six. Some even say up to around 60 mph it feels like an old 800. I just may go for the 600R next time. It's the first six that has caught my interest in about 20 years. With Poo coming out with the new 650 the class is heating up.

I had a 2019 with a Goodwin Clutch kit. Doo went to those clutch weights in 2020. Lets just say this, the 600R kicks the 600E in the nots. It makes riding the 600 class a blast again. There is a YouTube video of the 600R racing the 850. It is closer than one would suspect.

Had three 600 Etecs and a 2019 600r. Does not at all feel like the Etecs. If it didn’t have the stickers on the hood, you wouldn’t believe It was a 600. That said, my only complaint was the clutching. Too hard to ride slow. On and off the throttle was violent at low speeds. Needs a lower initial engagement spring. Ski Doo does offer one. Sold it, or I would have changed it out.

If you still have the stock ramps in your ‘19 put the stock ones in from a 20 or 21. It smooths out things down low and let’s the motor rev like it should up top at full shift. Liked my 19 the first year but loved it the second after putting in the new ramps. You won’t be disappointed.

I also have a 19, when you put the later version ramps in did you leave the clicker setting stock or did you change from initial setting?

Stock. After changing ramps I was able to pull 8200 just about any time I wacked the throttle.

Don't worry. If you're coming off 4 earlier 600's and you loved them, you'll love the 600R.
