Planning a saddle bag trip starting from Jackman with the wife.

Looking for suggestions in Millinocket or to the east

Ending up at the LLMI for a week of riding The County

This place is really nice, it’s a bit further north, just south of Houlton. It’s owned by a snowmobiler, and very nice couple.

Less than an hour (by sled) further North you could stay at Shin Pond Village or next door by Terry's niece at Mount Chase Lodge.

I have not stayed here but have eaten very good meals here.

They are only a few miles outside the Town of Millinocket

................and the Jo Mary trail system is right there!

Baxter inn isn't too bad and the trail is right behind their building. Years ago we used to stay at the katahdin inn and loved it as its huge and u never had to worry about getting a room but the past few years the new ownership was running out into the ground and the locals told me they had an issue with bed bugs so that's all I needed to hear.

Thanks for the info especially about the Katahdin Inn

If the border doesn't open we'll be riding the Jackman area in January & leave the trailer there for when we return in February
