BTW: Amsoil is good for everything, including making french fries. It's perfect in every regard and tastes great.

Most of you already know that I currently own 2 really well maintained Mach Z 1000s.  This past weekend on FB Marketplace a semi local Mach came on the market. It's 2007 X package with all the decals removed.   Besides that...  The sled is super clean.  It has 3700 miles on it but low compression PTO cylinder.  It has every indication of a lean burn down.  The owner has never, ever cleaned the injectors or replaced the fuel filter.  I'll pull it apart in the coming days.  But..... It did start and it idled.  I put it on BUDs and the run hours and VIN were correct.  Every indication is that the sled was someones baby.

I've added it as my 3rd Liter.

The list of brand new parts is impressive. (By "new" I mean less than 200 miles on them)

Extremely low mileage 5.7 ski's

4 brand new carbides

A new Ripsaw 1.25 track with 96 studs

All 4 X-package shocks serviced last year by Monster performance

All new bearings in the chaincase and jackshaft

New Tunnel bag, A new heavy duty cover and new LED headlights

New Team secondary

New exhaust can (It's FOR SALE)

New battery

New Ski-doo handguards

New windshield

New aftermarket knee pads

Boyeson reeds

A K&N air filter setup  (It's FOR SALE)

All the original parts were also included

Muffler, secondary, headlights, reeds, clutch components, ramps...... Extra seat.

The list goes on...

I'll include photo's in the comments below.

MCB: Scott, I'll be calling you for a crankshaft.  Probably before you read this.  LOL.

I have a big thunder wet nitrous kit that I would sell you fairly cheap. 95% of the components are new. It would help keep those pesky turbo sleds on their toes.

awesome, it looks like it was well cared for.  something we dont seem to find at all in WI.  the ones that come up for sale these days are beat to death and need way too much work to get them going right again.

looking forward to the build!

I pulled the heads off tonight and the results are in. The failure was a lower rod failure on the PTO side. I'll know more tomorrow.

Is anyone familiar with this gasket manufacturer? It's the center part of the Erave gasket.

It's not OEM to my knowledge. This doesn't mean the engine has been worked on. Possibly it's an aftermarket gasket someone used after cleaning the Eraves.39c28e5ba713b871759d0f70ac281f28.jpg

That's how I understand it as well. Maybe a company (example only: Windrosa) uses their material. Or some aftermarket shop.

I pulled the cylinders and they look used, but definitely runable. Obviously the PTO side looks to have more visible scoring, but none that I can physically feel. Part of the lower rod bearing caused the top ring to stick therefore loosing compression and causing the motor to stop running preventing more damage. a903902cba01d945f6d53b04a4138e54.jpgf1a8a205a09bd46a75663dabfa28e75b.jpg
