So, how does one test for a parasitic draw, sled is basically an “03 rev 800” with e-start, never had this issue prior. Sled could sit all summer and be started whenever and it would start just fine with the e-start, battery is good, but now it goes dead over the course of a month or so (won’t even click the solenoid, and battery will be down at like 7-8 volts). Battery tests out as brand new (it is only 2 years old) and takes a good day on a tender to charge up. So I’m guessing I need to do an amp draw test of some sort? What areas should I look at for a draw? There shouldn’t be much places to look (some reason the relay for the e-start is feeling like the only place besides the rear/start button for there to be power at with the sled off). And if all that checks out, would it just be wise to toss an isolator on one of the leads for the battery (positive side or the negative ground strap?)

That's pin it or die type stuff there.. Nothing worse than coming around a corner and seeing a freekin pond that's the entire way across the trail and 50 yards long. Oh and of course the lip at the exit point on the pond is about a foot high straight up and your wife is right behind you on her sled and you say "PIN IT and KEEP IT PINNED!"... and she says "what?".

Remove the 30A fuse for the battery and probe the two socket terminals with the meter set to mA. Make sure the red probe is well connected in the meter for mA.

The A for amps. The two mA settings are at 2 and 3 o'clock. If still no reading then move to 2000u.

Don’t want to sound stupid, but would it be possible to stick one on the pos, and other lead on the neg? Would that show any draw? Or just mess stuff up? (This is why I’m a machinist and not an electrician)

prolonged cranking only dropped to 11.46-11.4 on average for about 5 seconds, so it’s not falling off badly, and already back up to 13 volts resting

Try to avoid that. It would short your meter. This is a good time to ask anything.

will do in a few seconds (it’s only a 750ma battery tender, so it’s not a nuker)

Resting pre crank. 13.91
Crank started at 11.38, dropped to 11.25 after about 10 seconds
Minute of rest, 12.8 and slowly climbing

That's pin it or die type stuff there.. Nothing worse than coming around a corner and seeing a freekin pond that's the entire way across the trail and 50 yards long. Oh and of course the lip at the exit point on the pond is about a foot high straight up and your wife is right behind you on her sled and you say "PIN IT and KEEP IT PINNED!"... and she says "what?".
