Loud exhaust on a 6 cylinder and they sound like "edit for bad language".

Loud exhaust on any engine sounds like "edit for bad language"!

I think we need more Detroit Diesel swaps for daily drivers.

Horsepower don’t mean jack in a truck. It’s torque that hauls the mail and that’s where the 3.5 ecoboost blows the HEMI away.

Hp is a calculation from torque.
60 ft lbs difference in torque between the two.

You are correct but the other variable is RPM which obviously the higher torque at lower the RPM is key.

Depends on the power curve.
Torque is also manipulated, regardless.

There is a comparison between a NA engine to a boosted engine. Wanna compare to a boosted hemi??? Lol

Kinda no comparison now between the ford raptor and the Ram rebel TRX, especially the sound out the exhaust.

The ecoboost makes its max torque at an easy cruising 2500 rpm. The HEMI makes its max torque at 4000 rpm. Do you feel comfortable cruising down the highway at 4000 rpm all day? I don’t. My last truck had a HEMI. I loved the truck. I hated the engine. I love the ecoboost I have now.

^^^ Back in the day I did a frame off on a '77 F150. It had a 460 stuffed in to it, it had manifolds but they dumped into a custom build 3" stainless steel dual exhaust with glass packs.

I was young, it was loud, and I thought it was cool back then.

Just more proof of being young and stupid. :)

The XP was the most fun sled ever made - but I liked my XR more. The 850 takes it to a whole different level.

Peak torque is not as important as the torque curve. At 1000rpm the ecoboost only makes 100ft lbs. While the hemi’s is over 300 at 1000rpm and it slowly rises right to 4000rpm
If the transmission will not let the engine lug to 2500rpm where the eco boost makes its peak torque than whats the point?
I look at a truck like tool used for work, I would much rather have a v-8 under the hood than a v6, that’s why there are no ecoboosts in f-250’s.
Eco boost is a fun grocery getter.

The transmission won’t let the engine lug to 2500 rpm? What are you talking about?? I can tell you my ecoboost pulls my 9000lb boat a hell of a lot better than my hemi did. Grocery getter? You don’t have a clue!
