For the life of me I can't for one split second understand why ANYONE would want to make a vehicle louder. If I could I would want my truck to be completely SILENT. But, different strokes I guess.

Some guys put cans on their sleds to.

The proper term for the type of person who does things like that is. Attention Whore.

Some selfish trail riders who only think of themselves put cans on their sleds to.

There, fixed it for you.

The XP was the most fun sled ever made - but I liked my XR more. The 850 takes it to a whole different level.

No Need to Freeze-buy a set of these! http://www.coldguards.com/

Look in to Black Widow mufflers. I run one on my '15 Sierra with 6.2L. I run the Venom 250 model. Also had the resonator removed from factory exhaust. Little to no drone. Very nice tone.. I used to have a Flowmaster on my last truck that thing droned terribly and honestly didn't have as nice a tone as the black widow. This black widow essentially has no drone on the highway.
My truck barks fairly loud on cold starts - I always start with my garage door closed just as a courtesy to my one neighbor who is close. He doesn't care.

Answering the guy asking why people put after market exhaust on their truck... well for me personally I can't afford to own a truck + "summer sports car", so I bought a truck for year round use + functionality. I'd love to own a camero or similar and mod the heck out of it but no in the cards. So a moderately loud exhaust on my truck keeps a smile on my face 🙂

Edit: forgot OP has an Ecoboost. I haven't watch too many videos on YouTube of those trucks, but, generally, do they even sound all that great with aftermarket exhaust ?

I hate having dreams when I'm sleeping about mid winter warm ups of 70 degrees...

If people want to do this because they like it thats fine as long as it is a tasteful system and not overly loud. This is the case with the original posters Ecoboost I believe. MBRP have different systems, some tame, some advertised as loud. Seems like he bought a reasonable one, and is happy with it, I can understand it and have no problem with it. I have had lots of muscle cars over the years and sound is a big part of that.

Having respect for others is really lacking today, and people with loud vehicles should be thinking a bit about their neighbours, Skidoonick700 touched on this above. I have several neighbours with loud vehicles, mostly trucks now, and would just as soon not have to hear them. I am sure none of them could care less. My parents neighbour had a heavily modded Stang for years, no choke, so would start it every morning and rev it up to get it warmed up so it wouldn’t stall. Every morning, same time, not really something anybody needs.

When they are very loud and obnoxious, then it is no longer a case of “ it’s my truck and I can do what I want”, it affects other people and can bother a lot of people daily just because the owner thinks it sounds cool.  I don’t really think a loud system impresses others much, thats why I say people should be doing this for themselves only.  I mean, if we talk pick up trucks, how many Rams, F 150s, whatever do we see on the roads every day?  Does anyone besides the owner really care if one passes by and has a louder exhaust, are people impressed? Maybe, I can’t say for sure. I’m not, but would be Ok hearing others thoughts.

A bit of thought and respect for others goes a long way, even if you have a louder vehicle, you can drive it lightly in your neighbourhood. You might be surprised the people that say nothing, but curse you under their breath. Its not really the one time thing at all, it’s the day in day out that is annoying.

I bought a MBRP XP-series exhaust system for my 2019 F150 3.5l ecoboost...has anyone else on dooTalk installed a MBRP exhaust system on their truck?

Yes on my ‘05 Dodge Cummins I installed a MBRP stainless steel exhaust in ‘07 and have put over 300,000 miles on it without any issues!

I have MBRP stainless steel exhaust on my truck as well. No issues whatsoever. However my wife, kids, dog, next door neighbor as well as myself are completely deaf. Small price to pay!
