Hi gang!  I brought home another one yesterday.  1977 TnT 340FA.  Pretty happy about it.  It needs some work but is really solid and best I can tell is 95% original.  Hasn't run in years, has really smelly old gas in the tank, the suspension is frozen, and the carb slide is stuck.  It certainly needs a thorough going-through.  All new fuel lines, rebuild pump, yadda yadda yadda.  Has great spark and 150psi on both sides.  Plenty of time to get this old gem back into running condition before this season.

Are the service and parts manuals available anywhere on line?  They are not over there on the Vintagesnow site, unfortunately.

Oh, I'm also in need of the front grab bar, OEM gas cap and rear flap for this sled so if you have anything to help me out, please send me a PM.  Thanks

Nice find. I have the same model in a 78 version. Probably the most under-rated or appreciated TNT models. I do remember a lot of them around though back when I was a kid. The 340 is a better choice as the 440 s had more issues, and was actually discontinued after 77, though they did still offer the 340.

Likely other models will be the same as well, but Everests make good donors for parts like your front grab bar etc., with the gas cap and flap being used on many models/years so won’t be hard to find.

Gotta love an original survivor! They are only original once.

Strange time for those couple of years. One has to wonder why they detuned them and put single carbs etc. I would think these would be a lot more popular today had they been more performance oriented. Remember when Bombardier detuned the 521 in the Formula Plus when the 583 Mach 1 came out?  Is it possible they did the same with the TNTs when the RVs came out?  Regardless, I like them!  Congrats on the find!

Wow!! That’s a beauty you got there, is that original or did you restore it?

Not to hijack, but in the pic, you see the deflector by the carb that seals around the hood. I am missing that piece, is anyone ever has one, or sees one anywhere, let me know. Thanks
