Back for Spring order in 2016 I ordered a MXZ X -1200, all black with the QAS on it. When it came in, the dealership (Simonar Sports, Luxemburg WI) sent me a pic of the crate and the ID # on the sled. It was #1. Not the first time this has happened, at this dealership but hey! Cool!

Yesterday, after my insisting, a former sledder buddy goes out to this same dealership to pick up my recommendation for him....a 2017 all black MXZ -X 1200 of course.

The only difference is his does not have the QAS on it.

It even has the same serial number, number 1!

There is a letter difference in the SIN, that shows it to be different than my spring order QAS sled, but nonetheless I have 2, 2017 black MXZ -X 1200's at my house right now!

Thats not even close to the same vin number.

The model number is incorporated into it, that 001 is the first sled built in that SKU or model number to be built. If that sled had a 146 track with the vin ending in 001, another sled with a 154 track can have the same vin ending in 001.

Yeah, I'm fully aware of that. I guess you have lots of same year, same model, same engine, same color serial number 1's in your shop, sorry for thinking it was anything out of the ordinary.     :headbang

Why write the post? I am wondering why you commented. You don’t think it is rare to have two sleds the same year, both serial number 1? I have probably had well over 100 sleds and only one vin # 1.

Not even close to the same vin? How do you figure that? There is only one digit that is different.

I commented to explain how BRP comes up with their vins, he said he was aware but...... they are not the same model, nor vin.
One is a model MKHA the other sled is a model MKHB. Two different SKU’s two different VINS, even shows the Model in the Vin, therefore not the same vin.

He owns two sleds that were the first off the production line for each model. Lots of 001 sleds every year.

Rare or not, not very common to have #1 of two different runs, instead of giving the the OP a hard time, why dont you go do something constructive like greasing your clutch pullers.

Not giving anyone a hard time. Trying to explain something.

Yes its cool that he has two sleds that are first off the line. If some cannot take constructive criticism on a explanation, do not be so sensitive than.

Here's my constructive criticism, being that you  won't get all sensitive on us. You are giving us all a hard time. You have not shared anything, that we all don't already know, other than you are a troll. Your comments are not constructive at all, just criticism for no reason. Be a little nicer, the world needs that right now.

I took the second serial #1 for a little rip on the turf before putting it away in the shed, sure is fun! Makes me want to get more of them out for an impromptu grass blast, but the lawn doesn't agree with me

PS I also got another serial number 1  :P
